She learned about Toastmasters and their collaboration with Rotary International was amazed at the $100,000 that was raised at the event for the Rotary Foundation!!

Club brainstorm session:
Golf Ball Drop:   Positives: attendance, weather, Rotary swag,  no helicopter pivot with the fire truck, invitation to the Fire Department, raised a lot of money, good club attendance, the Kwini Club and Steve Gonsalves, audience, great publicity.
Improvements: sell balls earlier, audio announcement of winner, more community selling events, difficulty of QR sales and lack of physical evidence for receipt, day of we need credit card sale availability, better promotion of other events at the drop,  Fire Department sales?, press release post event, more online options for sales, too many events during this time.

Pickle ball Tournament: Positive: weather, great turnout, great attendance, great participation feedback, $1200 was donated to Burlington Football Club, fun, non-Rotarian participants, third party organizer, new event, new demographic.
Improvements: Game On would like to increase event to a two day event, September 21 & 22, 2024, timing, attendance can push for sponsorships, good distribution of club publicity.

Farmers Market positives: nonprofit, brand awareness, exposure, sales opportunities for our clubs.
Improvements: hard to get volunteers to set up and take down for the many months it runs,
can the nonprofits bring their own tent or at least they break it down and deliver it to the barn?

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 and the club sorted golf balls for storage and next years’ event.
