March 23 - District 7850 will hold a meeting at The Shelburne Town Hall for local Rotary leaders. Time to be determined.
February 13 - Round two of the speech contest which began last week at the CSH Rotary club meeting. This will take place with the Vergennes Rotary at the Strong House Inn in Vergennes at 7:45. Anna Dauerman, winner of the CSH Rotary contest will compete in round two.
April 19 - 21 - District 7850 Conference, Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, VT. The development of local membership committees will be a focus at this years' conference.
Companion club update - Ten to twelve members will be needed to start this offshoot of the CSH Rotary club, it will meet once a month and focus on community service.
The members broke into four groups and brainstormed on four areas:
Service Ideas
Social Ideas
Fundraising Ideas
Promotion Ideas
The groups came back together and shared their ideas which did result in several projects being assigned a "chair" to see the project through. The goal is to have a calendar for existing, perspective and future members.
