Miro opened up addressing the recent shooting of three Palestinian men in Burlington.   He lauded the federal agents who were supplemented by the Burlington Police to make the arrest promptly   The event was horrific for our community and the State of Vermont and is unprecidented in the history of Vermont.

Miro assured the club Burlington is safe to come to and there are multiple holiday events going on not to mention the Farmers Markets, retail, The Flynn, restaurants, and other events.

Contrary to the media reports, every time a store closes, one is replacing it!  The store fronts are turning around quickly.  And the Northfield Savings Bank has moved their headquarters to Church Street.

City Place is well underway!!  It will bring retail, housing and another hotel.

Yes, the drug crisis is the worse it has ever been in Burlington and the entire state, as well as the entire country.  A new approach for this problem is required.  Money is coming into the state to assist funding to address this national crisis.  Homelessness is also a key component to the crisis.  The crisis requires a more collaborative effort among all the state leaders and organizations.

John Pane presented Mayor Weinberger with the book “The Hidden History of Burlington” by Glenn Fay Jr. which will be donated to one of the local libraries in his name.
