Annual Meeting:

First Order of business: Elections

President Richard requested nominations from the floor for Vice President for 2015-2016. In keeping with the By-Laws nominations were requested last month and VP remained open. Lara Keenan was nominated and accepted the nomination.

The complete Slate of Officers for 2015-2016

Trafton Crandall – President
Judy Christensen – President Elect
Lara Keenan – Vice President
John Beal - Secretary
Russell Blodgett – Treasurer

was put to the club for vote. The club voted and approved the slate as presented.

Note: The Treasurer will be open for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.

Second order of business: By-Laws

The Board proposed to amend the By-Laws to add as committee requirement: “committees are responsible for developing and implementing guidelines for their committees.”

All such Guidelines shall be published for transparency.

Specific to these Guidelines it is proposed that the Finance Committee add a guideline regarding memorial donations: suggested that any such proposed memorial shall (unless otherwise voted by the club) be a donation made to an entity/organization in the name of the deceased.

The proposed language shall be published to the Club not less than ten days in advance of the vote.

Third order of business

Report from Steve Clayton Ad Hoc Committee – Linda Gilbert reported that a donation of $500 has been donated in Steve’s name to the Cancer Support entity of the family’s choice. The path to a permanent memorial is full of logistical and monetary obstacles and the committee is disbanding.

Fourth order of business:

Memorial for Charlotte-Shelburne Rotarian Elaine Dates – The finance committee and Board have recognition of Elaine Dates in fine focus. Steve Dates, present at the meeting, was asked respectfully by Richard for ideas of where to donate that might please both Elaine and Steve.

Meeting Adjourned: 8:25
