Chris reported on information and requests from the Board meeting:

  • Does the Club approve the donation of $2,000 to AgeWell? With some additional donations totaling $500 we will be a “Bronze Sponsor”. Approved.

  • Motion to approve scholarships up to $4,000 to VSAC. Approved.

  • Chris introduced a project Jim Donovan brought about planting crocuses. Motion to approve $1,500 to begin the project in the three towns. A question was asked about maintenance - Jim confirmed that nothing needs to be done after the planting. They come back every year. Approved

Chris brought up the suggestion to donate to the “angel funds” of the schools in Charlotte, Shelburne, and Hinesburg to help the school counselors assist family in needs. The Board has discussed allocating $4,500 with different ideas about how to split it. There was some discussion and a question about whether any school district approval is needed. Joan Lenes will check into this question.
